Local Company Win 2nd Place in Prestigious Business Awards

Scunthorpe based company HBP Systems have been recognised with a 2nd Place Award in the Reseller of Year category at The Business Software Satisfaction Awards 2007.

HBP Systems are one of the largest business solutions providers in the area, supplying a range of software and services including Financial software, Retail solutions, Computer Networking, Website Design and more recently Customer Relationship Management software. Each of these areas is backed up by a qualified team of staff who install and support the software for their customers.

The Business Software Satisfaction Awards are based on the view of genuine buyers and end-users of business software – not a panel of judges. This means that the winners and nominees of the awards have been recognised by the most important people – the customers – and the results of the awards prove a valuable tool for future consumers.

The Awards Ceremony itself was held in the magnificent surroundings of The Brewery in central London. Twenty members of the HBP team attended the event, which featured writer and comedian Barry Cryer as a guest speaker as well as the chairman and chief executive officer of the Business Application Software Developer’s Association (BASDA), Dennis Keeling, who presented the award

Staff of HBP enjoyed a memorable evening and despite not winning the 1st Place Award Managing Director Joanne Hill said,

“We are incredibly proud of what we have achieved and it is great for the company and all the staff to be recognised by such a well respected and venerated awards ceremony. “

HBP formed in 1991 and currently employs 68 people, with half of them based in Scunthorpe at their new premises on Woodhouse Road.

The company recently became an accredited Microsoft gold certified partner, which is awarded by Microsoft and recognises the highest level of technological excellence.

With the continued development and growth of the company, next year’s Business Software Satisfaction Awards could well result in HBP Systems bringing another winning story back to Scunthorpe.
